Drawing for Animation by Paul Wells highlights the role of drawing in the creation of animated films. The reader is given expert guidance through the whole process, from initial concepts, preparatory drawings, scripts and storyboards all the way to actual animation. Each chapter is accompanied by clear and concise examples, wonderfully illustrated by leading animators including Joanna Quinn, Bill Plympton, Paul Driessen and Peter Parr. The book is worth buying for these images alone. Valuable for students or fans of animation in general, I recommend this excellent book without hesitation.

Some long words, but once you look them up you get some great advice. Prof Paul Wells knows his animation stuff and a large amount of content from the genius Joanna Quinn. A must buy for any animator 🙂
