Bought for my daughter on recommendation of her piano/keyboard tutor. She’s making great progress and the book is a massive help.
If you/your child is a little advanced for piano time1 then give this a try – I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve used this book for years as a second book leading on from John Thompson’s first book, for my students and it works brilliantly. by the time they finish this they can handle learning their grade 1 pieces. highly recommend

Book arrived in time and well packed. It showed signs of wear and had some stickers in it that could not be removed

I really like the selection of tunes in this book. As a piano teacher I like the fact that each tune sets a slightly different challenge for the student and that the tunes are very carefully arranged so that each one is just a bit more difficult than the one before. I find this book is a great one to use with students who are aiming towards grade 1. It starts with very easy tunes but by the end it is at approximately grade 1 standard so I know that if my students can play every tune in this book then they are ready to more onto the exam pieces.

Bought for my daughter to learn piano. Really good book for an 8/9 year old to start piano. She has now moved onto book 2 and enjoying learning.
