35 Black Raindrops

1990s. The London Underground system is emerging from the austerity of the 1980s. New budgets have created the financial backing for security fencing and CCTV. Despite this, graffiti persists on the trains and the playground of subterranean tunnels and infrastructure…

Two rival graffiti crews come head to head when a shadowy figure from the past threatens the balance on the lines. The old master ‘Stainer’ has warned of an oncoming war in which the trains themselves are the prize and, simultaneously, the target for destruction!

I managed to pick up a copy of this and I’m glad I did. The attention to detail is incredible. The colour selection throughout the book works superbly. The use of dark contrasts to induce a feeling of claustrophobia in the Tunnel Scenes had me feeling anxious. I was left wanting more after finishing this page turner.

An amazing read. Took me on a journey. The art and colours kept me turning the pages. The detail was incredible and the more I look the more I notice things I didn’t notice the first time. Highly recommend

What a brilliant book! I felt like I was in the story, the drawings and colours were amazingly vivid taking me to London in the early 1990s.
I hope there is another one in the making!
