I’ve had a gell plate for a couple of years now and it has been very useful in textile art projects. I have been experimenting with photo transfer with very mixed results. The author of this book has done much of the leg work and it covers numerous ways of photo transferring onto various surfaces, many that I’m looking forward to trying. It’s clearly written and photos to show the various stages of transfer. Many helpful tips and tricks and good information about the best products to use to get great results. You are encouraged to explore and practice, practice, practice…. it was an investment purchase and hopefully I will recoup some of the cost by not wasting time and paint in trying to work out the best transfer methods, even with YouTube help.
