Luca and Peyton
Luca Dunn hasn’t had it easy since his father found out that he was Quarterback material since he was able to throw a football. Wanting to live his dreams through Luca, eat, breathe football, going to the NFL, living the football dream. But since they lost their last game of the season Luca’s father is disappointed in his performance, not in the “hey, we all have off days” but more angry. He’s drummed a whole lot of negative thoughts into Luca over the years. He’s breathing more further down Luca’s neck.
On top of that, his friendship with Letty is fragile and he needs to sort that out, and his relationship with his twin, Leon, also needs a bit of work too. But the cherry on top, is that of the return of Peyton Banks, the girl who was his everything, they made plans to go to the same college, settle down, until she said something to Luca that he didn’t want to believe to be true and he convinced himself she had to have lied. Then she left, ripping his heart out, turning him into this cold, angry, person he is now.
Peyton Banks is making the most of her life now, since she left five years ago her life has flipped over. She thought all those years ago that Luca would have believed her, but she was wrong. He broke her heart. Her Mum packs her and her sister, Libby’s lives up and move away. Peyton is now back, living with her Aunt, picking up the pieces of what’s now going to be her life.
She’s working at The Locker Room, a sports bar, it’s her best option, it pays the bills.
When the two of them see each other for the first time in years, it’s at The Locker Room, Luca can’t believe his eyes and starts to plan his vengeance for the lies she told him. Peyton can’t believe how much Luca’s changed over the years. Gone is the boy she loved, but the man he is now is now is terrifying, cold and angry.
Luca can see that Peyton has turned into an attractive woman, she may look innocent, but he knows better.
Peyton makes friends quickly with Letty, Ella, Violet, West, Micah and Brax. And kind of reconnects with Leon.
With what Luca’s doing to her she should be terrified, but ironically she feels safe around him. But she’s getting to the point of that it’s pointless getting through to him, he doesn’t deserve the full truth if he couldn’t believe her all those years ago. She wants him to be worthy of it.
Will he come around to believe her?
Will he tell his father to back off with the pleasure of hounding him over football?
How far will Luca go into punishing Peyton?
The things that Luca does is shocking. Peyton is strong. She’s got a reason to be strong.
My heart broke for Peyton. I ugly cried over these two.

Loved all of this. I have read the previous books in the series but it’s not mandatory I order to read this. The story is really good with simple plot lines and tension between both characters and opinion. Looking forward to see what develops in the next instalment.

I thought Luca was the lovely soft one after we met him in Letty’s story but he has be ome so dark. I sort of think i know what Petuon’s big secret was that Luca believes is a lie and if im right then i think its going to cause major drama for all the Dunn family. Cant wait for the next book. Also Leon has to be my favourite i cant wait for his book.

….this is Luca and Peyton’s story. Peyton is a newcomer but we know Luca from The first 3 books in this trilogy and the last we seen of him, he was heartbroken over Letty and in a bad place.
Bring Peyton, who he hasn’t seen in five years into the mix, and well, he doesn’t know if he’s coming or going!
And he isn’t a nice guy while he’s trying to figure it out!!!..poor Peyton is all I can say!
The way he treats her at the start is just so sad to be honest! It’s obvious she’s dealing with some deep and tough stuff but he’s not giving her a chance to explain.
Until he needs her, but by then she’s had enough….
An excellent read and I can’t wait to read more!!

Loved the first part of Lucas story, listened to it on audio which was amazing and definitely worth trying out. Definitely a roller-coaster ride can’t wait for next one.

Luca is everything. He is very dark, not the Luca we saw in previous books, but i love him even more. His relationship with Peyton is so good, and that cliffhanger just got me right on the edge of my seats, i can’t wait for more from them both.

Finally I’m embracing Luca Dunn and BOY OH BOY his alphaness and stubborness does not dissappoint.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Luca & Peyton’s story is full of angst, passion, chemistry, hatred and *????????????????????????????* leaves you speechless. I fell in love with Luca in Letty’s story but Holymotherofgod he has stolen my heart even more and this darker side to him core is ????????????????????????????????????!

Peyton is my type of girl and a complete babe. She is fierce and dedicated but the vulnerabality and love she feels causes that emotional connection as a reader!
That is one helluva of a ending and I’m picking my jaw up off the floor. I have no words that will not give the ending enough credit it deserves. ???????????????????????????????????????????????? and Tracy girl how could you leave us hanging that way…

Okay, where to start? On the one hand, I love the storyline and the characters are interesting, on the other hand, the sheer hypocrisy of the MAC is almost astounding. Just like other MAC in these series, he is egotistical, arrogant and quite honestly abusive. Yet, he still has redeeming qualities.
I question myself as to why I can even like someone who can treat a woman the way these main male characters do (at ready initially), so maybe I just like bad boys, or am I a sadist too.
Anyhow, all the self analysis aside, a good read.
