theres lots of info in here about how to choose a cat etc, ie before you even get the cat. But then not so much for actually looking after the cat, which is what I was expecting from the title. a little disappointing as I got this book for my daughter to help her settle with our new cat. there were only about 3 chapters in the book that were any use and we had already told her all of that/

Designed more for older children who are getting a kitten rather than an older cat. Lots of text about breeds and not enough about actual pet care. My son likes the photos, but other than that it’s not going to help him learn much about actually looking after his new cat.

I brought this for my daughter in advance of getting a pet kitten. She loved researching how to care for ‘her’ cat and taking responsibility for the things it would need.
Laid out in a very simple way with clear and easy to understand text probably more suited to ages 5-9.

Super quick delivery, sent it to my nephew and niece who will be getting new kittens soon. Perfect for primary children to learn and grow with their new pets

This arrived quickly I will say that it is a very basic book and it helped my daughter to understand her kitten.
