Such a beautiful book. Lovely for children as a book for when a pet passes away to read to them to give them comfort. Also lovely for an adult who has had a pet pass. Such lovely words. Highly recommend.

Lovely lovely book!!! Made me well up when I read it and I’m 41. Not just for kids. I gave it to my aunty who had lost her pet recently and she said it was lovely and brought her comfort.

My 2 year old granddaughter loved our little cat but the cat became ill and died. Our granddaughter started to ask where the cat had gone so we read this lovely book to her and she didn’t get upset when we told her that Willow had died and gone to animal heaven. She even said that if Popsy (me) got very poorly and died she would take me to animal heaven. I’m not ready to go yet but that was pretty cute.

This is the most beautiful book, you cannot fail to need a tissue. Words of comfort for children who have lost their beloved old dog. I have bought many of Nancy Tilman’s books and this one fits its purpose perfectly

Oh my goodness. I bought this for my daughter months ago and decided to keep it until an appropriate time… Mainly because I read it myself and ended up a weeping, inconsolable mess. It is illustrated beautifully and the wording is just…. So so sad. I’ll bet it’s not just me who read this, sobbed and then spent the rest of the afternoon clutching her dogs whilst they tried to nap and threw confused looks at their mascara-covered guardian.
