A very useful and practical book for RE teachers. It contains a good mixture of classroom ideas and strategies for assessment, planning and development of the subject. A handy book for all RE departments to keep around for inspiration and advice.

I’ve had a few of these 100 Ideas books before and, although they have sometimes been useful, I have never read one cover-to-cover until now. This book has such a wealth of ideas for improving RE teaching which are founded in the most up-to-date teaching practices and research. There are some ideas here that will be a quick-win in the classroom and will immediately improve your practice and there are some which are more foundational and might take longer to embed in your classroom. Either way this is a great book for all teachers of RE. It is a shame I didn’t have this during my PGCE and NQT but a good thing it’s available for those people now.
