Bought for my nephew who won’t be able to read for a few more years. Got my parents to record the story in Cantonese as I didn’t realise the pinying was in Mandarin. They said the writing is very formal and not how you would talk/read in Cantonese but the story in English is good. The illustrations are beautiful and tells a good story of the Chinese zodiac

Children 3 & 5 love this book! I wanted to buy a book that would introduce my kids to the chinese zodiac and this was the perfect purchase. The story tells how the animals int he zodiac were chosen in a lovely simple way with cute and colourful illustrations to go alongside. This book is also bilingual with Chinese characters and English words, which is an added bonus for my kids. All in all, love this book and we revisit it every year during lunar new year.
