Great cooking book for beginners. Just follow the recipes.

This book is a collection of Ken Hom’s receipes from his other books. All the receipes are short and don’t require a lot of technical know how. I am very happy with this book even though i have quite a few of these receipes already. It is a very small book and therefore is easy to bring around. However as the book is so small and paperback it can be difficult to read when you are in the middle of cooking a dish. You usually have to pin it open under 1 or 2 paper weights and as the pages are quite small its easy to block part of a the receipe. This can be fustrating and means that the first time you cook a dish you usually leave something out or mis-time a stage.
All in all a good buy and very reasonably priced.

Been a huge fan of Ken Him since my wife bought a book of his last year. His recipes are so delicious and easy to make and the way the recipes are laid out are clear and easy to follow. This book follows that pattern also and has a great range of meat, vegetable, rice and noodle dishes to try.

I bought this because I was very pleased with Ken Hom’s thai cook book and I wanted to try some Chinese recipes. Upon opening the book I discovered that many of the exact same recipes are in this book! Despite it being Chinese. So in short I have bought the same recipes twice. Exactly the same. Same photos everything. And I wanted Chinese recipes not Thai ones! Feel misled and ripped off. Will be returning.
