THE NO. 1 SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER
Head back down to Clarkson Farm with the bestseller from our favourite welly-wearing wannabe farmer, Jeremy Clarkson
___________
Enthusiastic trainee farmer Jeremy Clarkson made just £144 in his first year at Diddly Squat Farm. This year he’s determined to do better. Not because he now knows what he’s doing. But because he’s fed up of getting stick from Kaleb.
Yet farming continues to be a challenge.
For instance . . .
· Loading a grain trailer was more demanding than flying an Apache gunship?
· Cows were more dangerous than motor-racing?
· It’s easier to get planning permission to build a nuclear plant than to turn a barn into a restaurant?
Jeremy’s always got a plan. Loads of them. Often cunning.
Not always greeted with wild enthusiasm by Kaleb and Cheerful Charlie, however . . .

Clarkson is funny at being funny in a way that opens your eyes to the real world of farming….. His deep through provoking book with a twist will keep you reading
by Harry.
Haven’t read a whole book since being at school. After this was delivered I had read the whole book in a couple of evenings. Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t put it down, completely laugh out loud classic Jeremy.
Would make a perfect gift for anyone especially if they are a fan of Jeremy. Would also definitely just be worth a read for anyone looking for a laugh or easy reading. I don’t particularly enjoy reading but have now gone on to collect jeremys other books.
by Henry James
Jeremy Clarkson’s book is about his second year working on Diddly Squat in his new book and life on the farm is not getting any easier for him.
In Diddly Squat: ‘Till The Cows Come Home’ Clarkson tells the reader how he has had many different ideas to make money on the farm, but most of them have been unsuccessful.
Clarkson’s books are always entertaining, and this is no exception.
He tries to solve different problems, and one of these is a cunning plan to combat climate change. He wants to see robot tractors invented, which would use electric shocks to kill weeds instead of chemicals.
He returns to the difficulty he has in driving a tractor and admits, “how I almost never get a day’s work done without hitting something.”
In the book, we read that time is moving fast for Clarkson at the age of 61 and how he is thinking of opening a restaurant, and is looking for people who will help him run such an establishment.
However, local councillors have different plans and show their concerns about possible lighting from the development. Clarkson doesn’t believe this a valid argument and highlights how RAF Brize Norton is nearby!
In the first Diddly Squat book he was critical of local councillors, and here he continues this theme, and he tells how he thinks freemasonry plays a part in many planning decisions. He also reveals that he believes that councillors refuse his applications because of who he is.
Farming life is obviously difficult for Clarkson and his frustration comes out through the pages of this book.

The product is fine…the reason for my review is regarding the packaging…there wasn’t an option for me to leave this comment on the delivery review – this item, with other items, was delivered in a large, brown thick paper envelope and left on my doorstep (I was in btw). It was very damp outside and had started to rain….if I hadn’t been in to bring the parcel indoors, this book would have been very wet…may I suggest either using waterproof packaging or wrapping items in something waterproof

Jeremy continues to describe his hilarious adventures at Diddly Squat. Again well written, informative and really funny. His cows may kick him and hurdle walls as well as any race horse but he soldiers on and He entertains us all. I shall certainly re-read these many times.

This is just another compilation of Clarkson’s columns for The Times, but I knew that. It’s still very readable and JC is very funny. He gets on his soapbox about the red trouser brigade & Chris Packham a little too often but all ths Diddly Squat stories & his life as a farmer more than makes up for that. If you didn’t know Jeremy Clarkson was opinionated then you’re not from Earth
