A family wedding
Catherine Swift is a bestselling romance author, but her personal story hasn’t been quite so successful; three failed marriages have left her relationship with her daughters strained. Engaged once again, Catherine is counting on this wedding, at her villa in Corfu, to finally bring the family together.
A summer of secrets
Adeline can’t believe her mother is getting married for a fourth time, or that she’s expected to attend. It brings back the pain of her mother’s infidelity and the baby who was the result. Not that she blames her half-sister Cassie, but then she’s never tried to know her, either. Cassie, on the other hand, is thrilled by her mother’s news – she’s always admired Catherine’s resilience, and is excited to meet the mystery groom. Cassie also has a secret of her own, and a summer in Corfu will give her the time she needs to process everything.
A chance to start over again
As the guests arrive on the island, and the big day approaches, Catherine begins to reveal secrets from her past, and suddenly both Cassie and Adeline realise that they don’t know their mother at all . . .

Loved this book and it was different in that it’s set in Corfu( I love the Greek islands)
The description of the island and people are believable and I enjoyed ‘visiting’ the various places mentioned in the book. Good service and delivery too. Will buy more of Sara Morgan’s books again????

I have probably read everything that Sarah Morgan has ever written, so I tend to just buy her books without really thinking about it. Summer Wedding is another good book, however I am not as keen on Sarah’s recent books as I am on her earlier books. I think that this is just a preference. Her books used to focus on the romance side of relationships. I loved the rollercoaster romance side that she wrote. Her latest books although great tend to focus on the relationships between family members rather than romantic relationships. I still enjoyed this book, seen from the view point of Catherine the mother, and her 2 daughters Adeline and Cassie. It had a good story, good characters and was well written. I would have just liked a little bit more romance.

A new Sarah Morgan book is something I always look forward to and I threw myself into Summer Wedding as soon as it hit my Kindle this week. I wasn’t disappointed! Set on the idyllic Greek island of Corfu, it is a family drama of epic proportions. Bestselling novelist Catherine Swift is famous for her love stories, but her own love life has been anything but plain sailing. Having been married three times, she is now about to embark upon a fourth, and she’s invited her two daughters so attend the wedding at her villa in Corfu. With the youngest, Cassie, she’s always had a great relationship, but with her older child, Adeline, things are difficult to say the least. And the two sisters are not on good terms either, so Catherine is hoping her wedding will bring them all together to forge a brighter future together. Needless to say, her plans go awry at an alarming rate, and secrets emerge to show them all that nothing is as it has seemed in the past. Adeline is emotionally stunted and afraid of being hurt, the way her father was when Catherine divorced him and sent Addy to live with him. Cassie, on the other hand, is living in an optimistic bubble that doesn’t reflect the truth. Both girls have to come to terms with some difficult facts, and confront their own insecurities and beliefs. There is romance as well as drama, and once I started reading I simply couldn’t stop. A wonderful summer read that you won’t want to put down!

So, boy meets girl… wedding? Absolutely not! What a refreshing change on the whole romance genre! Two sisters: chalk and cheese, Uptight and Pollyanna, share a mother… and there we have it. Wow! I sort of predicted where it might be going… and got it wrong!
My first introduction to Sarah was the Snow Crystal Trilogy. The scene here is not snow but sunny Corfu. I could see the deep blues of the sky and sea and almost feel the heat.
Chalk and Cheese have issues — mother isn’t helping — not aided by living and working in her own fictional fantasy. Brilliant summer read.

It took a little time for me to actually enjoy reading this book. However as the plot revealed itself I did enjoy it and can be quite positive about it. I have since read other reviews and do not appear to be alone in this which is reassuring.
I dislike that this book, from a UK publisher, is littered with USA spellings. Worse still were the spelling errors! Breaks instead of brakes- please!! These bugged me as I read but to others- what is my problem?

I tend to buy anything written by Sarah and never disappointed.
Good story which would make a good holiday read. You take to the characters really easy as usual. Great descriptions of Corfu. Read in 2 days!
