I buy these Technical Operation Manuals for my husband, who’s a big Gerry Anderson fan. They’re generally full of little-known facts and little seen photos, and put together in a kind of ‘in-world’ way, a if the show was real life. The quality of the printing is always excellent, and the covers have a quality feel, with part-glossing to make them pop. I’d say a must for any UFO or Gerry Anderson fan really, and the perfect gift.

UFO had to be my favourite after Scarlett but had so many questions for example what would happen after the interceptor fired It’s missiles, surely it would be defenceless ,but I read somewhere that it had lasers , but why only 3
Interceptors, I mean some of the science is nonesense for example if a ufo is detected the tracker announcing UFO speed SOL decimal 8 for example now SOL is speed of light ,so nothing but nothing will shoot it down in fact at that speed no one will see it, it tried hard with its science but in that topic only it couldn’t work,
My other fascination was sky diver a super sub that could go deep , a fighter in on It’s front it could detach and act as a fighter and launch from the sea to go after a UFO ,it’s really fast on the surface ,and has a nuclear reactor I often wondered how many crew it had . How many were in the fleet well sky diver 3 was destroyed by a human bomb ,and sky diver 1 was subsunk were there more, these questions were answered in this book including why the women on moon base wear purple wigs
I might seem highly critical ,I m not I loved the show …..
The book has shado history ,loads of pics and so on unfortunately there was only 1 season because season 2 that was planned became SPACE 1999
