Worked for my son who is now a qualified electrician
by A. Philips
This book explained subjects in much more detail than the lindsay book and I very much prefer this book but there are still things in the linsday book that this book has not got. There were a few subjects I did not quite understand in the linsday book, but after reading them in this book and then going back and re-reading them in the linsday book I then understood it completely.
If you can only afford one book get this one, but if you can afford it, get both.

They did what I wanted
by J. D. Staple
This is the book recommended by my college. It is ideal for level 2 students although I have found it hard going in places. It can over complicated things at times. Also look at the Newnes Basic level 2 Electrical Installations Work. Someone reviewed these books and said if you can afford both, get both. Couldn’t agree more! Although the other book is easier to get along with, if you only get one book, get this one. It’s better to have everything than not enough. The other book used along side this one can help.

Thank you

Seems like a good book, a little dated for the course I’m doing (2365). At the end of the day if I pass my course, I’ll be happy with the purchase.
by Mary Elizabeth Wilson
This book provided me with the information I needed in a clear easy to understand way, it had clear diagrams, and I particularly liked the section on earthing.

Great book. Purchased this for my NVQ Level 2 course in college, contained everything I needed. Probably have newer editions with updated content out now though.
