It stabilised my blood pressure inside a week and made it possible to get rid of some of the nastier meds. Very strict and time consuming diet, but it does what it says on the cover.

I was disappointed with the book. The whole vegan cuisine moved on since the first edition. Too many gravy barely any lunch or dinner options. Caramelised onion is a side not a main course.
Soups are perfect for winter but not in the summer.
I think it’s needs an update.
For me it is very bland diet.

The front cover of the book is sliced open near the spine, only around 5cm is still attached. The cut also goes through a couple of pages. Packaging was intact. Needed for a course this week or would be returning for a replacement. Not impressed as I ordered a new book.

I love this book and the authors. Would recommend it to anyone interested in their health and good eating. Easy delicious recipes, you can even watch their YouTube channel and follow along!

The recipes in this book are fairly easy, even for people like me who don’t always follow measurements or ingredient lists exactly. Amongst others I’ve made the S.O.B Burgers (watch the YouTube video with Jane and Ann) – I put too much liquid stock in, and didn’t have enough cooked rice – so instead of making burgers I cooked it as an S.O.B. bake in the oven instead … it was yummy.
The version of the book I have is missing the ‘Hearty Salads’ pages 151 to 167 though … not sure if others have the same problem?
Thanks
Frances

Great book, similar to the Forks Over Knives cookbook but this one, being aimed at those with heart disease, forbids any fats including good fats like nuts and coconut oil. I suspect it could do with a little updating as a non-fat diet is not healthy. Other than a little addition of fat, I have found those recipes I have made to be tasty and nourishing. You can’t really go wrong.

A great place to start if you’re seriously thinking of adapting to a super clean vegan diet. Easier said than done, but the book gives clear, well presented recipes. Bear in mind that some of the ingredients may not be available in your local stores so a bit of research and ingenuity is required but I think there’s enough advice here to get you on the right track.
