A Deal with the Bossy Devil: An Enemies to Lovers Billionaire Boss Romance

£3.30

Vengeance (noun): Punishment served by an arrogant, insufferable billionaire who’s hellbent on making you suffer over a teeny, tiny, seven-hundred-million-dollar oopsie.

I regret nothing.

Okay, maybe I regret some things.
In my defense, I was pretty sure I wouldn’t get caught.
Also in my defense, I had no way of knowing that “The Incident” would go viral.

But Toronto’s most notorious billionaire isn’t exactly known for his generous or understanding spirit, and he doesn’t want to hear my excuses.
Not when my little public stunt cost him the biggest investment deal of his career.

What he does want is cold, hard revenge.
And that’s how I find myself backed into a corner, forced to strike a deal with the snarly, green-eyed devil.
I have no choice but to be at his beck and call 24 hours a day, succumbing to his every bossy whim.
But as his demands—and the blistering tension—become increasingly unbearable, I can’t help but start to bite back.

Adrien Cloutier isn’t a man to be messed with, though.
And as the old saying goes, bad girls deserve to be punished.

This is a full-length enemies-to-lovers romance with loads of spicy banter and laugh-out-loud moments, featuring a dimpled bosshole devil in a suit and the smart-mouthed woman who brings him to his knees. (Literally.)

I’ve been in a reading slump for a while, DNFing books left and right, but this book brought out ALL the emotions in me! The enemies-to-lovers dynamic and banter between Adrien and Ria was top-tier. I loved both of them so much. I also loved Ria’s sister and Adrien’s whole family, especially the crazy parrot and his grandfather! It’s the sort of family you wish you were a part of! The steam was also so, so good and well-written, and I loved seeing how Adrien and Ria’s relationship progressed. Adrien is the perfect mix of being alpha but also sweet, and I really loved how Ria was so realistic. I really related to her a lot. This Taylor Swift lyric felt really accurate: “They told me all of my cages were mental,/So I got wasted like all my potential” (song: this is me trying). I literally felt tears come down my face at the end of the book when I found out Ria’s backstory. I also adore a good secret and grovel, and this book hit all of those points for me. I rarely find romcoms that funny, but I actually caught myself audibly laughing so many times! The writing was also excellent; I was so addicted to wanting to know what happened next that I stayed up till 4am to finish the book, but I had no regrets. I will definitely be picking up the next book and following this series.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this book. This book… just perfection. The emotions it brought out in me – I was SO invested! – I nearly headed out to buy wine for my broken heart until my husband intervened.

I just completely fell into the book and the characters and felt all of their feels. It was a RIDE. I wish I could better put it into words.

Some bits were a bit too ‘perfect’ for me. The parrot and the blue paint were just a little OTT, but they didn’t take anything away from the rest of this epic story. I just skimmed them a little.

Somebody else has mentioned as well that the FMC is really irritating at the start, and you may feel like DNFing, but Stick. With. It. She’s like that for a reason.

The spice was sublime. Just superbly done. I think it’s ruined me for any other book for now. I didn’t think I was ever going to move on from Rafe and Penny’s relationship in Sinners Condemned, but now I don’t know if I’ll ever read again. I’m done. Between reading that book and this one in the last 10 days, I’m convinced that any book I try to read now will be a total disappointment.

This is my first time reading a Kyra Parsi. It is the story of Adrien and Ria. Backed into a corner, Ria is forced into an arrangement with Adrien. But, Ria is not one to take things laying down. Soon, rhe bickering and fighting developers into some thing more. A fantastic read. Would recommend.

I’m normally quite a picky reader, only HRs, written in third person and dual POVs. This week I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort reading zone and decided to give this book a go following a Redditor’s recommendation. I went in thinking I would absolutely hate it, the cover, the title, first person, single POV, billionaire and enemies to lovers cliché…

The book had me engrossed from the first page, I laughed out loud continuously, it was absolutely hilarious, so much so that I ended up sneaking away at work to get one more chapter in whenever I could.

The chemistry and banter between the MCs was top notch, and the steamy scenes had me squirming in my office chair and sighing with envy.

Hard to put down, finished it in less than 12hrs. I will definitely read it again and cannot recommend it enough!!!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I absolutely loved it. The only thing that would make it better would be to have dual pov’s. Saying that, I couldn’t put it down until I finished it in one sitting! The intense chemistry between Ria and Adrien is electric and undeniable! There’s secrets, betrayal, sizzling passion, tension, witty banter and so much more throughout their story… Has Adrien lost his chance at true happiness because of his decisions?… Will Ria stop torturing herself and let herself be happy and successful?…
Can’t wait to read more from the author!!!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I couldn’t help but laugh out loud multiple times, although the story still packs an emotional punch; which it does very well without making it a depressing story but instead bringing out the best of teh characters. It was exactly the story I needed to give me a lift.

There are times when Adrein’s behaviour is questionable and his actions not always good, but he remained likable despite that. His family is great and wonderfully woven into the story.

Ria is a great character, steeped in issues she has carried for years but by the end you can see why, desperate to do the best for her sister. I loved some of her actions to stand up for herself and could see the reason behind them.

This is well worth a read. It’s my first by Kyra Parsi but won’t be the last.
