I love this book!! A definite must buy for anyone who is adopting a child and already has a child. It addresses the key events such as social worker visits and foster family introductions in such a creative and charmingly written way. It’s so brilliant to find an author who writes about adoption so well and in such a great and fun way for children!

This is an amazing book which I would thoroughly recommend. This book is particularly useful if you have a child and are adopting a little brother or sister. It explains the process and some of the ups and downs along the way in a very simple to understand format. An excellent explanatory book for all children, it is written from the perspective of the older sibling and is a very positive and sensitive book and I believe most children could identify with the main character. I enjoyed the humour and the lovely illustrations too.

This is my 5 year old daughter’s favourite book. She really identifies with the pictures and the language and loves how it was illustrated by a little girl at her age. Explaining adoption to children is hard and all Holly’s books really help to do this in an uplifting child friendly way. We’re going through adopting a sibling at the moment and we read this book a lot.
