I loved this book so much! The descriptions of the places, the food and the snow made me want to book a skiing trip and get out there on the piste! I loved the journey Holly went on to rediscover herself after her heartbreak and some of the situations she found herself in made me lol. A gorgeous, feel good read, perfect for the cold months ahead.

Carrie Walker’s debut novel is a slalom ride through life and love, following Holly Roberts’ journey to the Swiss Alps, where she overcomes her fear of the cold to bring us a warm, fuzzy, funny romcom that is a perfect Christmas/winter read. Would totally recommend!

What a gorgeous book this is, I really looked forward to cosying up and reading it and devoured it in a weekend.
It has beautiful descriptions of the snowy scenes in the Swiss Alps as well as extracts about the food that made me so hungry for fondu.
The plot is perfectly paced and you’re with Holly all the way though, wanting her to get her happy ending.
It’s not your typical rom-com though, there are frequent moments where I laughed out loud as Carrie Walker writes her characters so well. I’m very much looking forward to the next novel by this author.

So much to love about this book, the settings, characters and story are so well drawn it all feels real and keeps you compelled right to the end. Felt like I’d had a holiday to the Swiss alps along the way. Just what you want from this genre. Happy to recommend.
