______________________________

Twenty-five years after her tragic death, James Patterson tells the heartbreaking true story of Princess Diana’s life as a mother and a global icon.

At the age of thirteen, she became Lady Diana Spencer.

At twenty, Princess of Wales.

At twenty-one, she earned her most important title: Mother.

As she fell in love, first with Prince Charles and then with her sons, William and Harry, the world fell in love with the young royal family – Diana most of all.

With one son destined to be King and one needing to find his own way, she taught them lessons about royal tradition and also real life. ‘William and Harry will be properly prepared,’ Diana once promised. ‘I am making sure of this.’

Even after her tragic death, the strength of her love for her sons remains an enduring inspiration, not only for the two princes, but for the entire world.

This book is a bit different for James Patterson it is not a fictional story , based on true facts, I really enjoyed it as was different for him to write a book like this, lovely pictures in the book, was sad reading at times due to what happened but I would recommend, seller is amazing, second hand book was like new.

Written like a love story. I am a fan of diana and the royal family and james patterson. But how do the writers know what diana was thinking before walking down the aisle or seconds before the fatal crash they can guess but write it as fact. A travasty of a book. Save your money or give it to charity but dont buy it

I bought this from Tesco in a deal. I loved every page and couldn’t put it down. I cried in places, honestly those poor children. The media frenzy, which we still see today with Meghan and Harry, is disgusting. I really don’t see why gossip magazines and tabloids are allowed to continue. This book was heartbreaking. A lot of research clearly went into it with a lot of material read to produce it. I loved it.

This book is a sugar coated account of Diana, William & Harry – interesting read & how I hope things happened
Easy read, I have always been fascinated with Diana hoping for the truth this is what I hope is the truth – still more questions than answers
I was intrigued with the relationship of mother & her sons
The characters of William & Harry with the sadness & burden they have to come to terms with
I enjoyed this book & glad they had the Queen to ask questions

I listened to this through my library. I really enjoyed it. It’s a based on a true story yet is a fictional recounting of Diana’s story from just before she met Charles. It’s written in an easy manner and should not be confused with factual books on the subject. Sharing the story in this way makes it accessible for a wider audience but if you’re looking for a fact based book with footnotes then this isn’t for you.
