I bought this as a present for a Spitfire loving friend. I don’t know what constitutes good content for Spitfire lovers but I had a leaf through it before wrapping and it seemed quite comprehensive with little cartoons and drawings to illustrate the articles. There were tips on dogfighting, flight procedures and more. It does transport you back to those heady scary days. My friend’s wife reported that he was well pleased with the book and had his nose stuck in it through a large part of Christmas day. A great little gift for a Secret Santa money.

This is a modern copy of the WW2 original and as such it is not a tactile book but a smooth modern printed version, the content is of course mostly the original page layouts and does not detract from the content for the price it is superb. Interesting read. Very pleased.
