    This book is very well structured and contains a great deal of good information. However, you couldn’t possibly be a “dummy” and grasp all the concepts. If you’re just starting out in writing bids and proposals, there are other books that introduce the same concepts more concisely. I’d recommend this book for someone with some experience, rather than a beginner.
