I couldn’t put this book down I blitzed through it in one day, I was eager to see how their relationship would develop and if her would actually listen to her! 🙈
This story follows Naomi, daughter of a congressman and exceptional ballerina has her whole life turned upside down when she’s taken by Nicola Barone (brother to the Don). He’s families been wronged and he’s out for revenge and Naomi is his path…however as the story rolls you find out it is far more complicated and there are a greater number of players involved – it’s an intriguing web of connections 😁
The characters are strong and you get a good sense of them in this standalone, Naomi is naive I would say but has an inert spark that comes to life throughout this book! I love her rage towards the end and that she doesn’t just take it lying down 💪
Nico is absurdly clever but likes to play games and only listens to what he wants too, but when he realises his emotions for this girl boy does he go all in in a she’s MINE kinda way😍
The heat between these two is intense, it does border on dom/sub (without having a conversation about it) and there quite a focus on butt stuff 🌶️
This is and can be read as a standalone but it is part of a wider series that may give your more fulfilment having read. This was my first read of the authors and after this I would certainly read more.

Naomi always caught me eye since her introduction, I had many theories about her and what could’ve been her personality and backstory.
Naomi is my top 5 all time fav FMC in the JC Universe fr. She was needing adrenaline in her life, to feel at home, and oh boy did she get waaaay more than expected. My baby, she was so strong overcoming her challenges. I think the Odette/Odile references were genius and very on point. Naomi had a gorgeous character development, and I loved how she connected with Nico, even if Nico’s intentions were a whole world different than what it actually turned into. Nico was quite hilarious tho! Like, he’s a tiny bit aware of his tendencies and it was so funny to read some of his inner monologue but also, once he starts being poss essive and obs essed with Naomi, whew. He tried to deny the obvious, but his pawn turned into a precious piece, the Queen he never knew he needed. Naomi & Nico are a beautiful, hot couple that will make you blush, you will feel all the passion & longing & love.

I enjoyed reading this book! There were some grammatical errors and mistakes with character names. Also, in Dance of Deception, I believe Nico was the bull and now he’s the Raven. I always like seeing continuity of the characters from the different books and series.

Another cracking instalment in Jaggers darkly seductive Mafia world. Here we feature Nico Baroness, Carmines younger brother. Not having the responsibility of being the Don he’s living a hedonistic lifestyle.
Love that this is another story strongly featuring ballet, I’d love for Vaughan/Val to get his own book, he’s my favourite side character.
Our FMC Naomi is at first an unwitting pawn in Nico’s revenge-lot but quickly becomes so much more. The pair are so passionate together with a whole gamut of kink thrown in.
A great -lot filled with non stop action and red hot spice, highly recommended.

I never thought that Nico, we knew from previous books gonna be that intense. He was a little playful but caring about his beloved ones, BUT ! his book changed it all in my eyes. He’s still devoted son and brother but when he’s become man in love ??? He definitely delivering all the feels. Naomi, the heroine is young and life hadn’t gone easy with her. Her story is full of angst that did break my heart too many times. If I can be honest, it’s one of the most emotional heroines I’ve met in author’s books.Their love stared from very rocky side but author did amazing work by enveloping their emotions into deep and unconditional love.

HOLY. FREAKING. HELL. Ive found a new favourite dark romance author!! Im in shock, this was a damn masterpiece, the slow burn, the spice, the plot, the SUSPENSE!!! It was fantastic by far the best written book i have ever read. The writing in this was beyond good and it was so fast paced as-well it made a 400 page book feel like a 200 page book its madness. The plot behind this one was incredible the way it hooks you from the beginning and gets you so invested in the characters and there lives and families and then as the book develops you see the underlining suspense aspect of it and it just keeps you flicking through pages to find out whats happening, its amazing, gripping and so freaking good. I loved learning about Naomi’s life and seeing her character grow throughout the book and then seeing Nico’s life and his family and his personal growth as well its all made into one super gripping dark romance. The slow burn aspect of this was done so well to the point where literally nothing happens real romance wise until about 75-80% in and then from there on out you see the romance between the characters but its more focused on the plot and the suspense and mystery aspect, which by the way i had no idea was in here until about half way through. It’s also not just the romance thats a slow burn its the mystery behind the plot that burns really slowly all the way throughout and can we talk about chapter 34 because Jesus christ i was not expecting that!! There are some harder and triggering topics in this so please check your trigger warnings but my god if you like dark romance and you like romantic suspense then your gonna got nuts for this one. I can safely say that i am now going to be reading All of Jagger’s other books because my god the man can write!! Infinity star read for me and I’m almost positive this will be an infinity star series for me because the found family aspect just makes me want to read Nico’s brother’s books right away.

I’ve read every Jagger Cole book, some series several times. I loved Carmine’s and Lyra’s story in Dance of Deception so I was expecting this book to be just as good and it was. So many twists and turns in this book. I wanted to not like Nico after the beginning of the book but that changed. Naomi was just trying to survive away from her father’s influence. She’s a much stronger woman than most of us could ever be. I love the whole ballerina backdrop in these books. A very well written story. Thank you for another great series. Already ordered next book

Second book in the darkest dance series which follows Nico and Naomi. As always this is a dark romance so please be sure to check the TWs as this book touches on very sensitive topics.
My sweet Naomi, there were so many times while reading that I just wanted to jump between the pages and hug her. Naomi went through a traumatic event, when she was taken advantage of by two men under the guise of doing a photo shoot. The main reason for this was to get at her father.
On the other side of the coin, Nico’s sister Bianca was injured during an explosion at their father’s birthday gathering. Of course Nico was out for revenge against those who dared to harm his family and his sources informed him that Naomi’s father was behind this and because Naomi’s father was considered untouchable he decided that Naomi would pay the price.
Now one thing that should be known that Nico was completely unaware of what Naomi went through and when he eventually finds out what he was actually holding above her head all this time Nico was beyond disgusted with his actions, and did everything he could to make it up to her. But I know if it was me in that scenario I would have made him grovel way more.
Naomi came across as innocent in the early chapters of this book, but I loved seeing her rage and fierceness in later chapters. The hand she was dealt was not a fair one, all she ever wanted was just to dance.
The tension and back and forth we got between the MC’s was impeccable. Nico is a possessive man and he was possessive of Naomi. Again the plot kept me very intrigued and I’m excited to dive deeper into this universe.
