I’m a terrible cook, and I don’t enjoy the process but wanted to cook more home cooked food for my son and a friend recommended this book. I’ve made five dishes from the book so far and none of them have been like my usual bland and dry offerings. My teenage son is impressed too and going to start cooking for us once a week.

The recipes are easy to follow and the lists at the front of the book are really helpful. Hardly any washing up as only uses one pan and no wasted food as easy to freeze and she doesn’t use unnecessary ingredients (who put parsley on a bloody Tuesday night meal for kids anyway, right?).

Don’t want to over sell it, but this book may have changed my life for the better.

I’ve followed taming twins for a while but decided to get the recipe book and it’s fantastic. The meal plans and shopping list help if you do a whole week of recipes. The recipes are accurate and generous portions. They are tasting and quite varied so you’re not eating same vibe of things every night. I’m having some friends over for dinner and someone asked what they could bring, and I said no don’t worry it’s going to be very relaxed. She replied “one of your one pot wonders?” And I said “you bet ya!” ????????

This is an absolute must-have for anyone who is fed up with planning and shopping for weekly dinners! There is a lot of brilliant cookbooks out there but only this one will give you a ready list of ingredients to cook 6 meals and most of the time it costs just below £40! We are family of 2 adults and 2 kids. It saved me so much time and ££.

Definitely one of the best books I’ve bought.

Absolutely banging food full of flavours and minimal fuss.

I love simple food that’s easy to throw together and nice and hearty. This book ticks all the boxes. It even recommends tools to use that are low priced and readily available on Amazon. I bought the recommended tray for less than £10 and it’s really good quality.

There’s a meal planner, alternative suggestions if you don’t have the exact tray or slow cooker that’s mentioned so you don’t need to rush and buy exactly what’s used.

There’s only 2 of us so we make the full meal prepped up then bang half of it in the freezer for another day. Which is also talked about in the book.

So far have made three of the recipes and they were spot on. A good balance of flavours.

    Would definitely recommend!

I bought this on a bit of a whim after seeing the authors Instagram feed, but I’m really pleased I did!

The recipes are all things that we will actually make, and enjoy and are full of things that are easy to buy in the weekly shop and also use up- no buying something obscure to only use a spoonful once.

So far, the recipes have been easy to follow, tasted really good and even my fussy child has been tempted by them and we’ve really noticed the difference when it comes to cleaning up time to just have one pan to wash!

I also like that there are useful meal plans and that the nutritional info is clear and concise (and also separate from the actual recipes so is easy to avoid if that’s something you don’t want to see).

Looking forward to more lovely dinners.

So I pre ordered this book, and it arrived on publication day, had a quick look through it, and it popped it down on the coffee table, and the next minute my 17 year old and 8 year old had picked it up and had chosen loads of recipes, so ever since I’ve been cooking up lots of different meals from this book which everyone has enjoyed and loved.
Thanks for all your hard work putting this together! I especially like the fact that I don’t have lots of left overs, no half used tins clogging up the fridge or going to waste!

My copy of ‘What’s for dinner’ arrived the day before I had a supermarket shop booked. I finished work at 10pm, feeling rather dizzy, and suddenly realised I had to fill my grocery basket for the week ahead with minutes to go. Thankfully I remembered the handy ‘weekly shopping lists’ at the front of this book, picked a menu I thought the kids would agree to eat, and chucked the lot in my basket. With the delivery arriving before the school run I was able to prep the first dish straight away – I even figured out my oven controls so I could set it to start cooking automatically. I’m now onto week 2, and it’s going great! It even works with my highly variable tolerance for cooking, as I can pick whatever meal off the list of 6 that I feel up to cooking that day – or skip on altogether and have leftovers without feeling guilty (the beauty of her 6 meals per week plan). Now, my son has requested we make the ‘kitchen sink popcorn’, so I must go!

I have followed Sarah on her instagram account for a few years now. She makes cooking for kids look easy. I have learnt a lot from her account and the recipes she posts and I really enjoyed her first book. I preordered this book because I really needed to get more organised with feeding my family for my own benefit as well as financially. I knew it had a lot of slow cooker recipes in and I was really looking forward to trying them. The book has not disappointed. I have cooked 4 slow cooker recipes over the past 5 days, they have been amazing and my family are enjoying the variety whilst I am enjoying not having to spend hours in the kitchen. I can actually spend time in the evenings with the kids. I have used this book more in the past week than I have any other cook book and I have a lot of cook books ????
