The Great British Bake Off: Kitchen Classics: The official 2023 Great British Bake Off book
£10.50£20.90 (-50%)
The Great British Bake Off: Kitchen Classics showcases 80 sumptuous bakes inspired by the show’s most popular signature themes – Cake, Biscuits, Bread, Pastry, Patisserie, Dessert, Chocolate and Free-from – taking the best classic recipes and reinventing them to create the most gorgeous, flavourful and indulgent bakes.
Throughout the book, Paul, Prue and the 2023 bakers themselves show you how to turn a signature into something truly special. Among the many transformations, Victoria sponge becomes a four-tier, zesty extravaganza; a brioche-style babka turns savoury with kale pesto and red peppers; and the cherry Bakewell is reimagined as an irresistible fondant fancy.
Page after page, this book is packed with ‘new’ classics that will draw family and friends to your own kitchen table time and again.

This is the first time that I have got the Bake-off book as the series began. It will be interesting to see how it matches up to the episodes.

We have always found that the “Bake Off” books are a bit lacking when it comes to the recipes actually seen in the series. Many times we have seen something interesting in an episode, only to find there is no mention in the book alleged to be connected to that series. This year’s book is no exception, in fact it seems worse. Even the iconic “Bake Off” cake seen in the title sequence, and actually made by this year’s bakers in an early episode, was missing from the book. We are actually interested in the bakes made by the contestants in the show, that is why we buy the books, but now we seem to be getting a general baking book with a tenuous link to the show.
