Riley Beckett met Gianna Mäkinen – drop-dead gorgeous influencer, trilingual, daughter of world-famous models, yes, that Gianna Mäkinen – their first year at Boston University, and it changed everything for the both of them. After all, when you find the person who just gets you, nothing feels quite “the same” right?

And in the ten years since, Riley has come to depend on Gianna more than anyone else in her life. She knows Gianna just as well as she knows herself – maybe better, some days. She knows Gianna is incredibly sex-positive, she knows Gianna doesn’t do romance or relationships, and she knows nothing could ever come between them.

This is what makes sense to her, all of this is status-quo. But when a holiday party mix-up sets in motion a domino effect of changes to these previously inalienable truths, Riley has to question everything she thought she knew about their relationship. What, exactly, does Gianna mean to her after all?

Down to a Science is one of my favourite comfort reads, and each time I’ve read it, my heart has ached for Gianna. I went and bought this book so fast when I realised it was Gianna and Riley’s story. I devoured this in a day, and I already want to re-read it.

This story was an absolute emotional rollercoaster, and I loved every single second of it. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I yearned for them, I wished I was them. The evolution of their relationship and story was so beautiful, getting glimpses into their past to see how Gianna had ended up in the emotional space she did to the present storyline with Riley coming to terms with her own feelings. This book felt like the most incredible character study of both of them. The growth that gets shown for both the leading ladies just felt so incredibly natural.

The yearning and angst were just top-tier; it is the slowest of slow burns if you consider their whole journey, but not once did I think it was too slow. Hayley’s writing is so descriptive and immersive you feel like you are part of that universe and almost feel a little disappointed that they aren’t actually your friends. This book is firmly going into my all-time favourite list. Seriously cannot wait to read it again along with Down to a Science.

That was captivating. A bff to lovers with some flashbacks from a decade ago, this is a brilliantly written book and a must read. Haley Cass knocked it out of the proverbial park yet again.

Why has it taken me so long to read a Haley Cass book? When I realised that the book is 500 pages long, I thought there was going to be no way I would be engaged for the entirety of the story, but I was wrong I literally ate up the entire book and I still wanted more. I personally thought that the length was ideal for unpicking their ten-year friendship and their journey into a relationship.

I enjoyed the dual structure and that the present was told from the perspective of Riley and the past from Gianna. This is the sweetest Friends to Lovers sapphic romance, I have read in a while.
I’m definitely going to add a few of her other books to my every growing TBR list.

So I loved ‘those who wait’ and it has been my favourite for a while, I’ve read others by Haley but they didn’t match that…. But this…. ‘On the same page’ an absolute new top favourite! I loved it from start to finish. All the right ingredients for love; it was funny, it was cute, it was sexy, it was completely romantic in every sense of the word, it was everything you want in a romance novel and more. Haley makes you invest in the MCs from the offset, and they are beautifully matched! Brilliantly written. A must read!

I don’t often leave a review – usually I am too quick to start my next book. As an avid reader (reading around 120 books a year) I have totally fallen in love with this newest book from Haley Cass. ‘On the Same Page’, is enticing, intricate and beautiful. The characters are both brilliant in their own ways and with strong detail throughout, Cass creates characters that feel like friends and people you know. I thoroughly enjoyed that Ellie’s story was still prominent in this book. It’s excellent that we get to see the development of Ellie’s character now she is in a long term settled relationship. The emotional growth was so well portrayed. The link back to Gianna and Riley’s College days and how this intercepted their future selves was genius, especially carrying it through to the end making the book come full circle. A totally genius love tale which will now become one of my top favourites. Thank you for always delivering!
