Think And Grow Rich
Napoleon Hill, America’s most beloved motivational author, devoted 25 years to finding out how the wealthy became that way. After interviewing over 500 of the most affluent men and women of his time, he uncovered the secret to great wealth based on the notion that if we can learn to think like the rich, we can start to behave like them. By understanding and applying the thirteen simple steps that constitute Hill’s formula, you can achieve your goals, change your life and join the ranks of the rich and successful.
In this updated edition, Dr. Arthur R. Pell provides examples of men and women who, in recent times, exemplify the principles that Hill promulgated. With the success stories of top achievers such as Bill Gates and Steven Spielberg, he proves that Hill’s philosophies are as valid today as they ever were.

Cognitive Biases Mastery – 2 Books In 1: How To Outsmart Mental Pitfalls And Make Smarter Choices To Elevate Work Performance (Decision Making Mastery)
Your subconscious is working against you – a simple tweak to your thought process can fix that.
We’re all biased.
You may have read the above and already your mind is raising its defenses. No… I don’t have a biased bone in my body.
The fact is: you do. So does everyone around you.
Scientific studies, in fact, suggest that certain forms of bias may be hardwired into the human psyche.
For instance, Professor Stephen Neuberg published research in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology in 2005, showing that we evolved as a species to quickly assess dangers posed by those outside our group for survival.
The ability to process information rapidly was a life-or-death evolutionary advantage to our ancestors in their hostile environment.
As our environmental landscape changed, we still needed to process information with speed, but the decisions became increasingly nuanced.
The swift system that evolved to identify and mitigate threats in hunter-gatherer societies became faulty, resulting in several cognitive biases everyone harbors.
Cognitive biases – or mental shortcuts – help you sift through the massive volumes of information available at each given time.
One comes to appreciate this thought process when confronted with the fact that, according to Professor Timothy Wilson from the University of Virginia, we face about 11,000,000 pieces of information simultaneously.
However, these mental shortcuts can lead to irrational, false, or even harmful conclusions.
For example, an HR manager – overestimating their understanding of a subject – could neglect to consult knowledge specialists during their hunt for new tech solutions.
This could lead to a loss of crucial time required for operational tasks.
Worse, this decision could lead to losing company money on ineffective tech solutions.
Such cognitive processes can consequently prove detrimental to your professional and personal life.
But wait – you didn’t think we’d leave you without good news, did you?
All the techniques that give you control over subconscious cognitive activities are within your reach.
This book bundle will help you to identify and correct the cognitive biases you fall prey to in your everyday life.
This book bundle includes:
- Cognitive Biases In A Nutshell: How To Spot And Stop The Hiccups In Our Thinking Process
- Lay Off Your Cognitive Biases: How To Identify Them And Ways To Prevent Disastrous Mistakes And Missed Opportunities At Work
Here’s just a fraction of what you’ll discover inside:
- How wanting something to be true influences you to “find” evidence that it is and how to avoid this
- Elon Musk’s secret behind professional and personal growth
- The 5 ways your ego tricks you into thinking you know more than you do
- How bias exists along a scale and where yours falls on it
- What are the Halo and the Horn effects and how you can reduce their impact on your decisions
- Why this crucial mistake could cost you your job and land you at the “Peak of Mount Stupid” (And 6 strategies to help you overcome it)
- These 6 thought-provoking questions can eliminate any unconscious cognitive biases at play during your decision-making process
…and much, much more.
We’re not telling you we have a magic potion to eliminate your cognitive biases completely, but we sure do have a recipe filled with strategies you can eventually turn into habits.
This book bundle will set you apart because you will know what they are and how to steer clear of the traps they set for your reasoning.

Making Decisions: The new brilliant smart-thinking book to change how you think about leadership, judgement and decision making from former England cricket selector Ed Smith
Winning takes many forms. For fans of Matthew Syed, this is a great sports book about leadership, judgement and decision-making – rooted in the theory that helped Ed Smith lead England cricket to sustained success. And to help us all win more.
‘An absolutely fascinating book’ THE GAME, The Times football pod
- How do you spot the opportunities that others miss?
- How do you turn a team’s performance around?
- How do you make good decisions amid a tidal wave of information? And how can you improve?
As chief selector for the England cricket team, Ed Smith pioneered new methods for building successful teams and watched his decisions tested in real time on the pitch. During his three-year tenure, England averaged 7 wins in every 10 completed matches, better than they have performed before or since.
Making Decisions reveals Smith’s unique approach to finding success in a fast-changing and increasingly data-reliant world. The best decisions, Smith argues, rely on a combination of differing kinds of intelligence: from algorithms to intuition. This is a truth that the most successful people know: data cannot account for everything, it must be harnessed with human insight. Whatever the power of data, humans aren’t finished yet.
Sharing for the first time the tools he introduced as England selector, Smith’s book captures the immediacy of life at the sharp end, while also exploring frameworks from the top levels of sports, business and the arts. Decision-making is revealed as a creative enterprise, not a reductive system.
Making Decisions offers an invaluable guide for those who want a better framework for developing, explaining and implementing new ideas.

Why Deals Fail and How to Rescue Them: M&A lessons for business success
Mergers and acquisitions are part of the fabric of business and economic life: they help drive growth in companies of all sizes. Most executives will at some point in their careers experience a takeover, as buyer, seller or intermediary. Yet, despite M&A’s obvious attractions, deals often fall short of expectations and, in extreme cases, can go disastrously wrong, with devastating consequences.
From their unique perspective as practitioners and researchers, Faelten, Driessen and Moeller have seen it all when it comes to M&A, and they’ve used this experience to develop their Three Big Mistakes of Deal-Making. Using case studies from a wide range of companies, many household names (Diageo, BMW, Microsoft, Kraft, HP and even Manchester United), and for deals ranging from the highly to the less successful to the downright questionable, Why Deals Fail offers both a commentary on the inexorable tendency for companies to merge, for good or ill, and a guide to the benefits and pitfalls of M&A as a growth strategy.
The result is a fascinating insight into why some deals work and why others go awry for anyone interested in how the corporate world works, or contemplating or facing a merger or acquisition themselves.

Reassembling the Social: An Introduction to Actor-Network-Theory (Clarendon Lectures in Management Studies)
Reassembling the Social is a fundamental challenge from one of the world’s leading social theorists to how we understand society and the “social”. Bruno Latour’s contention is that the word “social” as used by Social Scientists has become laden with assumptions to the point where it has become a misnomer. When the adjective is applied to a phenomenon, it is used to indicate a stabilized state of affairs, a bundle of ties that in due course may be used to account for another phenomenon. Latour also finds the word used as if it described a type of material, in a comparable way to an adjective such as “wooden” or “steely”.Rather than simply indicating what is already assembled together, it is now used in a way that makes assumptions about the nature of what is assembled. It has become a word that designates two distinct things: a process of assembling: and a type of material, distinct from others. Latour shows why “the social” cannot be thought of as a kind of material or domain, and disputes attempts to provide a “social explanation” of other states of affairs. While these attempts have been productive (and probably necessary) in the past, the very success of the social sciences mean that they are largely no longer so. At the present stage it is no longer possible to inspect the precise constituents entering the social domain. Latour returns to the original meaning of “the social” to redefine the notion and allow it to trace connections again. It will then be possible to resume the traditional goal of the social sciences, but using more refined tools. Drawing on his extensive work examining the “assemblages” of nature, Latour finds it necessary to scrutinize thoroughly the exact content of what is assembled under the umbrella of Society.

The Art Of Constructing A Second Brain: Dive Into The Proverbial Pool Of Knowledge Management To Better Sort Tedious Information, Manage Your Time, And … Learning And…
You don’t need to pay for a personal assistant. We can help you build one.
We’ve all been there: constantly reminding ourselves not to forget our wallet and keys.
When it’s time to head out, our brain seems to remember everything except those.
But let’s not jump to conclusions and put all the blame on our cognitive abilities.
After all, there’s only so much our brain can remember at a given time.
In fact, according to American psychologist George Armitage Miller’s The Magical Number Seven, Plus or Minus Two, short-term memory lasts about 15-30 seconds.
And short-term memory can only hold seven pieces of information.
In times like these, we all wish we could afford a personal assistant to remember all the minute details of our day-to-day endeavors.
What if we told you that you could build your very own personal assistant, intricately designed just for you, at a low cost?
This book is an all-encompassing self-help guide that helps you get there by laying out all the nitty-gritty of building a second brain—an efficient and effective knowledge management system.
According to the Technology Services Industry Association, over 70% of companies predict a 20% increase in productivity as a result of effective knowledge management.
That’s not to say that knowledge management is only suitable for big corporations.
Truth be told, if you’ve been creating a checklist on your phone’s inbuilt notes app or a sticky note on your fridge, you already have a knowledge management system in place.
We’re here to show you how you can utilize tools already at your disposal to refine your approach to knowledge management into a brilliantly polished gem.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll discover inside the book:
- Google’s simple yet effective goal-setting methodology (that you can apply to your personal life!)
- How to use gaming elements to turn your plans into epic adventures (reaching your goals doesn’t need to be boring)
- How Netflix uses its intricate knowledge management system to keep you satisfied (AND save the company about $1 billion a year!)
- Four free and easy-to-use note-taking apps to elevate your knowledge management system (you can use any or all based on your needs)
- How to keep a knowledge management system alive without killing off traditional physical sources of information in the digital age
- The one extremely common thing that can lead to increased unhappiness, a negative work environment, and decreased productivity and creativity
- A brilliant CODE for effective and efficient note-taking and organization
- Why you shouldn’t create a rigid knowledge management system—employ a mix of these six flexible elements instead
…and much, much more!
We’ve come across numerous books on knowledge management that teach the power of organization. But much to our surprise, they are filled with tenuous technical jargon and rigid systems.
While other books lack certain credibility, focus, and organization, this book makes up for all of it—tenfold.
It doesn’t simply present you with a rigid system to follow mindlessly; this book presents a myriad of possible solutions for readers from all walks of life.
Whether you’re a teacher, student, CEO, remote employee, parent, or homemaker, this interactive book will help you create a system designed for your specific needs.

The Advertised Mind: Groundbreaking Insights into How Our Brains Respond to Advertising
Advertising research organizations have been trying for years to measure the effectiveness of advertising.
Recent research by Erik du Plessis and his colleagues at Adtrack South Africa, and subsequently at Millward Brown, has helped to show that the strongest factor predicting success is not the scheduling rate, but how much an advertisement is liked.
Erik du Plessis draws on information about the working of the human brain from psychologists, neurologists and artificial intelligence specialists to suggest why ‘ad-liking’ is such an important factor in establishing a firm memory of an advertisement and predisposing consumers to buy. He explores what ‘ad-liking’ really means, and suggests how use of this paradigm could lead to a new phase in the ongoing effort to obtain maximum return from advertising spend.
Millward Brown were also behind the research for the BRANDchild initiative.
