The 2021 annual conference was then held online and the topic chosen was “Interpreter 4.0: Towards a virtual reality? Challenging new connections and human relationships” and the title could not have been more fitting, as we had to deal with so much technical innovation and changes to and in the interpreting profession during the Covid pandemic.

In 2022, the global health situation was more promising; therefore, we could hold our annual conference face to face, in Manchester, UK.
