Welcome to this book containing 100 brand-new maths square puzzles. These popular mental arithmetic puzzles are a great way of testing and improving your mathematical dexterity.

This book contains 50 easier puzzles, that give you two numbers to start you off, and 50 harder puzzles, that only contain one number to start you off. Each sum requires a combination of the four common operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Perform calculations from left-to-right and from top-to-bottom. We’ve listed the numbers 1-9 under each grid, as you must use each number 1-9 exactly once when you solve the puzzle we suggest crossing off the numbers as you go along to help you easily keep track.

Solutions are at the back of the book for your reference. If you solve all 100 puzzles you’ll be a mental arithmetic expert!
