Years later after this book was first published it is still very valuble reading. It captures what large aircraft design, manufacture, testing used to be in past decade. Some things have changed since but fundamentals remain the same as properly described in the book. There some minor short commings of the book such as minor errors in some physical values quoted. Main complaint would be clearly visible bias towards Boeing against Airbus. Airbus faults are properly described and similar or worse Boeing failures were hidden. This is understandable up to some extent but cast small shadow on this important book.
