Great story well written. The author is incredibly talented writer who’s words project into detailed images. M & B are often overlooked it the literary world, however, that has been changing in recent years which is not only fantastic for the author but for the reader as well. This book was not just about sex, scandal and mistrust it end with a very happy family no matter how it came together.

Beatriz Blake is having a very uncomfortable interview with her father Monty Blake. After her sister’s engagement to Sergios Demonides fell through, it has threatened the business deal that the two men had agreed to. Monty Blake is desperate for the hotel deal to work, it will mean his financial ruin otherwise. Sergios needs a wife to be a mother to the three children he has become guardian of after his cousins death. Monty Blake was not having much luck persuading Beatriz to go to Sergios and ask him to marry her in place of her sister Zara. But Monty has an ace up his sleeve he blackmails Beatriz, knowing she cannot refuse him.
Sergios Demonides is surprised to receive the offer for Beatriz to marry him instead of her sister. But after thinking it over and of course having her checked out he agrees.
This is the second book in the trilogy of three sisters. The first
Roccanti’s Marriage Revenge (Mills & Boon Modern)
! Was quite a poor effort. This though has the spark of the Lynne Graham of old. When highly arrogant hero Sergios Demonides, tells Beatriz the conditions of their marriage, Beatriz is outraged. But she has little choice but to agree. Nevertheless Beatriz is nobody’s fool and constantly stands up to Sergios refusing to kowtow to him. I loved the scene with the pole dancing. This is so much better than the authors recent efforts, I enjoyed this, and for once the heroine did not have the obligatory pet. Plus she was not blond and five feet tall another refreshing change. I am hopeful that the last in the trilogy will be as good if not better.

I enjoyed this book from start to finish and was sad to end it, very well written and a pleasure to read,

I’m afraid I cannot agree with the previous review of this book. Far from being a fiery heroine she struck me as spineless. Yes, each time the hero made some ridiculously arrogant remark she reacted with fire, but then she totally backed down. This happened over and over again! And how you can suddenly forgot the outrage of being told that he will have multiple mistresses to falling first into bed and then into love with the hypocritical autocrat is just beyond me! I have always enjoy LG’s books (although I agree with other comments on the daft pets in recent books!) but I did not enjoy this at all and will certainly be less likely to buy future books.

This is a uplifting story filled with second chances and hope. The foibles of each character enriched the story as it unfolded making it a pleasurable read.

Wow, its like the book was written by a different author. The male character was unappealing and crude. I don’t know why any romance author would think this man is what women want. Very disappointing
