I have read most of Violets book.I love this far the most.It has sizzling chemistry between the two leads.Of course Violet stories always has a suspense and a villain .

Lady Veronica’s brother’s indecretion with Duke Maxwell’s sister had caused major problems for Veronica’s family. They were in a serious financial situation and she turned to Maxwell for help. Between them they agreed that Veronica would be Maxwell’s mistress until her sister Poppy found a suitor and married. The story follows the developments in their relationship. At first, they set rules but both realise that perhaps the rules are not suitable. They develop strong feelings for each other but there are many obstacles to overcome before they are able to find happiness. I really enjoyed this well-written story.
