I was lucky enough to be able to read an ARC copy for this book and it did not disappoint.

Like many others I absolutely adore the first two books in the trilogy (the second being a personal favourite of mine) and had high expectations for the third. After finishing it, Morrigan and Stirling are only just scraping being my favourites now… I fell in love with Bella and Remy!

These books are my favourite to read because they are just the perfect blend of spice, fantasy and romance. They are so easy to read! I am not normally a massive lover of fantasy but Roe does it in a way that it doesn’t feel too intense, I can happily enjoy every aspect of the book without thinking “oh god I’m lost what’s happening”.

I was apprehensive at first to be introduced to Bella as a love interest, as I already had grown so attached to the characters we know and love. But this soon changed a couple of chapters in. She definitely gives Remy a run for her money and fits in with the group dynamic pretty nicely.

The spice in this book somehow felt steamier than the others and wow it definitely had me keep turning the pages ????️????️????️

I can’t believe this trilogy is over now but I thoroughly enjoyed how it was wrapped up. ????????

Well, my girl, Ruby Roe, has done it again, hasn’t she?
Another steamy sapphic addition to the girl games trilogy, and what a cracker!
Each book has focussed on a different character from the original group we were introduced to in book one, and this, the final instalment, allowed us into the lives of Remy and Bella, rivals in their field but with a history filled with love/hate experiences.
Of course, they need to solve/compete over something huge, and plenty of suspicion is thrown around. There is also the HUGE steam factor running through the whole series. This time, we have a true slow-burn element that can get extremely hot as things begin to sizzle!
A great end to the series, and I love the hint of a new story that may just be coming out in the future…

I was lucky enough to read the arc of this book and oh my god. THIS BOOK! It gave me everything I personally want in a story. It had well written spice, the plot builds tension so well (I couldn’t predict a thing which is sometimes rare for fantasy/ romantasy) and there were so many intriguingly developed female characters that I just felt spoilt!

If you’ve read the other books in this series (like me), you may think you know what you’ll get from this book, and largely, the vibes are the same (powerful, magical women loving women kicking ass) HOWEVER, I think this is just a step up in terms of the writing. I fell into this story and did not want to be pulled out of it.

If you’re even remotely intrigued by this story, I urge you to get it, this story has not left my brain since I read the whole series, and you won’t regret falling into the same obsession.
