I was very impressed with this book, as it has helped me tremendously deal with my past traumas and emotional instability. For each chapter, there is an extensive list of exercises tailored to help you internally heal using CBT techniques. These exercises are easy to follow and can be applied to your life to help you with your ongoing issues. The chapter I gained the most benefit from was understanding your inner child, as I had a damaging upbringing and working through this with the book’s guidance has given me a new perspective on how to deal with the past and deal with the trauma. Overall, it is an excellent workbook for anyone in need of healing.

This book is invaluable for anyone looking to overcome past traumas and experiences and find their own path of healing and self-discovery. It is a powerful resource that provides practical methods and compelling exercises to help reconnect with your inner child and heal from past emotional experiences.
What I found super helpful is how the book incorporates CBT and journaling to help me understand why I feel the way I do, and by also providing different techniques and a step-by-step guide on how to apply them effectively, it was super powerful.
So if you are looking for help to take significant steps towards your own healing and understanding your inner child, then this is the book I highly recommend for you.

BRIMMING WITH INSIGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS. This easy to read book offers a myriad insight on the human condition, Specifically, the wounds we experience as children and the impact they have on our lives. Even the most idyllic childhood includes a sprinkling of traumatic events: the loss of a pet or family member, harsh words from a friend or teacher. The opportunities are endless. But as the saying goes: “It’s not what happens that is important, but what we do with it.” Learning to reframe the experiences that hurt us is key, and this book is full of brilliant suggestions. From self therapy to mindfulness and meditation, to journalling, and making art, the author offers us many tools to activate our own healing and maintain mental health over the long term. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is ready to embark on the journey of healing their inner child.
