When I thinking of buying this I was going in with not very much knowledge of any advanced maths since then. Now I want to re-do my A-level just as an intellectual exercise and to keep an old man’s brain working. So it’s all revision for me.
The explanations given are the very minimum needed to get a grasp of the topics. The example questions are very well-explained. There are plenty of “concept-check” questions and exam questions dotted around. The book is colourful and well presented.
One thing I really like is that it’s printed on matt paper, so I can make pencil notes and rub them out if I want to. (You can’t do that on glossy paper!)
If you’ve got a decent teacher at school/college and just need some consolidation, this book is fine. If you’re working independently, you might want a proper textbook. A nice book to refresh and learn new information, would recommend.

The pages are so thin you can see through them. You can see from my photo that the printing is poor – the purple/blue ink for the bar at the top for the titles isn’t a solid block of colour as it is on later pages. I’m disgusted at the quality of this book. Thankfully I got it at a discount – had I paid full price for it, it would have been returned. No way would I pay £20+ for this garbage.
It is only for revision, but still…

This book is too long and includes irrelevant information. I found it much easier to just use the textbooks for my revision as they had concise information about each topic limited to just 1-2 pages

Purchased as part of a bundle for my daughter who just started sixth form A Levels. She finds them useful and is helping her keep ahead of the class.
