A little old lady lives all by herself in her house but she’s not happy – it’s just too small, even for one. Whatever can she do? The wise old man knows: bring in a flappy, scratchy, greedy, noisy crowd of farmyard animals. When she pushes them all out again, she’ll be amazed at how big her house feels!

For my great granchild

Another good Julia Donaldson book. Not as good as Snail and the Whale, or the Giant or Charlie Cook but it’s a nice book from a great author.

This was bought for my grandson. He loves his stories before bed

This is a beautiful anniversary edition of a book that I first read to my children several decades ago. Children enjoy the verbal patterns and the chaos created by the woman who adds different animals to her house on the recommendation of a wise man who teaches her about relativity!

Another great Julia Donalson book. The gold cover for the 30 year anniversary is a great touch. The kids love it

It’s alright. Not her best …and she is very good! My Grandson looked a bit lost. We’ve only read it the once. Will try again when he’s 5.

I have never had a bad book from this author. My child loves every story, looks forward to reading again and even joins in.
