The book has three levels; just the “letter is for….” line for small babies, then a simple sentence for toddler level and then an even longer line for young school age children. The science book that will grow with our child.
I love everything about this; from the choice of science components for each letter, over the art to the descriptions. Just fabulous.

Excellent at explaining the science at different levels, creates moments of curiosity and discovery. Sturdy construction, colourful and scientifically accurate.

Great book that can be used at different levels of learning; key word, basic description and then a more detailed description.

My now 4 year old loves these books, and has done since he was 2. He has a real interest and passion for science already and these books have helped me give a simple explanation to sometimes quite complicated things. I read another recent review commenting on how this book was a laughable attempt at teaching young children science’, when it’s actually a great tool to educate your children in STEM. My 3 year old understood perfectly what an atom was thanks to these books (and a little help from me!) Great Work Chris Ferrie, keep it up!

The phtoos are great for storytelling. My 19 month old and 2.5 year old sit still to read this with me…for 3 mins anyway.

We are having a little girl and as a very liberal feminist anthropologist married to an engineer, I want her to be as familiar with the sciences as she is with the arts. I have multiple of these books and will be purchasing more as I believe it’s never too young to be exposed to expanding one’s mind.
We tend towards organic and sustainable living and toys, purchasing mostly wood and cotton items, and we read mostly on tablets for the sheer volume of books would be overwhelming, but it’s nice to hold a book and read it to a child, and I like these board books for infancy to toddlerhood. They are cute and tend to hold up better that anything with paper pages. For anyone looking to expose their little one to the sciences early, these are a must!
