This is a very good book that gave me the answers I needed and even more, about the adoption process in UK. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in adoption.

Lots of information about the adoption process and where to find further information
by Diane Biggins
Book was intense but a good insight on what to expect. We were already part way through process when started reading it and it felt like it was us and our diary! Definitely recommend to anyone going through adoption.

We bought this book half way through our adoption journey so unfortunately we’d already learnt a lot of the things in it. I would recommend anyone starting their adoption process to get this straight away as it is full of loads of really useful information and gives a comprehensive guide of what to expect and answers to question u might not feel comfortable asking the social worker.

Did not like that it had £1.25 written in the book and i paid £9.95 a bit much to pay that much and it wasent made clear that it was used
by Michael Allen
I feel that this book can only be seen as an introduction to the topic of adoption. No topic is explored in any great detail so the reader would almost certainly have to buy further books.
by Mr. S. R. Jones
Basically, as the title says. This has been a very useful starting point for me, and has given me a lot to think about, as well as a good indication of where to start the rest of my journey.

I found this book great if you want the facts about the process of what types of adoption and timelines ect. It’s a fairly thin book so it easily fit into my bag to read on the train when commuting too. However this isn’t a diary type book that lets you know what to expect emotionally and some of the challenges that you may face just the basic facts of the process
