Adoption Survival Guide: A Devotional Activity Journal

When the journey of adoption is discussed, often it can be related to giving birth. Every situation is different and every child is different. There are still elements that are the same, however, and when your adoption is harder than others, it can be a very lonely place to be. Most people want to hear about the beautiful stories and positive effects of adoption. Few are willing to see that there are hurting families in need of help. Finding a community that understands this is invaluable.

As people of faith, we are called to “look after the widows and the orphans.” Oftentimes we do this at great sacrifice to our families, friendships and sometimes to our own faith. This activity journal was created to give a small outlet in the midst of a survival-mode parenting journey. In trying to help put children back together from the pains of trauma, we forget that we are created by the great Creator and this is a form of communication with Him.
