This is a very complete life skills guide that covers so many bases. Fantastic advice on personal hygiene, cooking, study skills, career planning, budgeting, renting/buying houses and cars, and I’m not even sure if I covered it all in this review. I’ll definitely be referring back to this book regularly to keep my life organised and become more confident as an adult!

Bringing the two books together gives your teens all that good knowledge and skills in the one big book. Also useful for slightly younger kids as there are hints and tips that they would also find useful.

A great guide for any teenager on the cusp of embarking on their journey into adulthood. The author presents a roadmap of life skills, covering everything from cooking to renting a first home. I like that it is written with a personable and empathetic tone—lots of personal experiences make the advice relatable. Also, lots of thoughtful illustrations, which is why this book deserves the 5 stars.

If I could reverse back a few years and make changes to my path as a teen, one of those changes would be to increase awareness of money before going to college. The author Katie does a great job filling a gap relevant to teens in navigating this space quite early on.
Her hands-on detail and caring approach means what appears to be a tough and sometimes boring topic for teens suddenly becomes very engaging. Curious teens would love this book.

this book is a must-read book that tackles important topics in an engaging and enlightening way. From money management to personal hygiene, cooking, and career planning, it covers a wide range of practical skills necessary for success in adulthood. The stick figure images add a touch of humor, making it a lighter yet impactful read.
Highly recommended for teens and even younger individuals seeking to navigate life with more confidence.

The advice on the sub section, remove toxic friends, is something that I wish I’d read when I was in my late teens / early 20’s. It also spends time discussing the importance of recognising your self worth and the effects on your life when you do. It covers so much, even topics like basic investing and financing a car! There are so many good points to this book that I’d have to write ten more reviews to mention them all.
