Very good introduction to the rather difficult art of airbrushing.
Well set out and easy to follow it perhaps has too many finished works and not enough instructions on how to achieve the end result.
by Rocket Dog
Might be old but still relevant covering the basics.
I also recommend The Encyclopedia of Airbrush Techniques by Michael Leek.

I am an airbrush artist and over the years I have purchased many books as I developed my technique and skills. This book (and book 2) are probably some of the best books on airbrushing. Yes it’s technical but It is a studio handbook and covers almost everything a beginner ( and advanced) airbrush artist needs to know. It is written as a course of instruction and although a bit dated now, it holds up as much now as when it was first published Although there have been advances made on airbrush manufacturing and the paints that we can now use, the techniques remain basically unchanged and this book will teach you these skills. Recommended!

Good advice within the book
by Jonouk
This is a great book. Dealing with the basics of airbrushing and use of various mediums and supports. The author is passionate about his craft, and it comes through in the content. There is a deep philosophical message in here as well, he sheds light on the approach, the attitude of a prospective artist, not just the finished work, but the process and the creation. Particularly deals with the world of graphic art, and commercial airbrushing techniques, with some lovely full colour plates of examples from different artists from around the world. I liked the presentation involving what actually occurs down at the base level of putting the paint on to various papers boards etc. The way the molecules arrange themselves to projects specific colour effects, a good amount of text discusses the use of Gouaches and their wonderful charecteristics, and how best to utilise this to the advantage of the artist. Consideration is given to the all important light source, the use of shields and masks, and the preparation of various papers, mounting them, and selecting for the right medium.
All in all a very worthy addition to the airbrush library.

A fine airbrush artist relaying the way to get results
by M Clarke
The complete guide to airbrushing is a pretty accurate title. Everything from the basic theory to advanced techniques, care of equipment. Possibly more information than you need to get started and definitely too much information for such a thin book.
