A gorgeous book filled with a ‘treasury’ of high-quality images that delightfully intrigue, inspire and amaze its fortunate reader. I’m so pleased I ordered this as I have enjoyed following its author on Instagram for some time now, and the connections and similarities between images which he unearths draw together the visual cultures and peoples from across a number of different continents and time periods. It is a book well worth treasuring.

Stephen Elcocks ability to collate a series of images from an incredibly diverse range of sources is a work of art in itself – I just respond to his selections and this book is a tangible joy of what I hav been enjoying in the iternet form for several years – the physical plates are a much more powerful than the on screen image. Highly recommended.

Read the reviews and was so looking forward to the book. I was hugely disappointed. Stephen Ellcock posts some wonderful imagery on his Facebook site and I found the book dull in comparison.

Stephen Ellcock, after years of enlightening, intriguing, entertaining and educating us on Facebook with his incredible themed collections of art and artefact has produced an extraordinary anthology of imagery and text to delight and uplift. This volume is a gift to yourself, or to those you love and adore. You’ll need to get more than one copy, or just don’t lend it, because you may not get it back!
