Gaming is at the core of every argument in my house, as one of my kids has become obsessed with it and it’s a constant battle of “why can’t I play, all my friends do”. So in a desperate attempt to reduce screen time and get him to do some reading, this seems like a mid way compromise, that he’s off a screen and actually doing some reading, but he is also happy to do the compromise as he’s learning how to “improve his gaming”. He is enjoying it and gets excited to tell me things that he’s reading – it make absolutely no sense to me whatsoever, but I have to pretend to be interested and understand what he’s on about!

This book provides step by step instructions as an explorer to the world. My nephew is a huge fan, this book will just add to his gameplay. This is the hardback copy, which fits right on the shelf and can be used over and over for tips, tricks and knowledge for the game.

This is a nice little book. It’s well printed and bound and made from good quality paper. It looks and feels like a good quality book.
The book is really written for people who are just starting to play Minecraft. It covers setting up a base, eating and farming, crafting, fighting, all the terrain types and overviews of the mobs you will meet.
The book is well written with clear explanations of the content and perfect for people who are new to the game.
I’ve given this 4 stars as for my son it’s too basic as he’s been playing Minecraft for years. This is clearly not the fault of the book and for the right audience it’s very good.

I will be gifting this book to my 9-year-old nephew who is a big Minecraft fan.
The book is well written with clear explanations and nice colorful pictures.

This new Minecraft handbook is going to be a great stocking filler.
I have an 8 year old and 11 year old who both love Minecraft and we’ve got a few handbooks from over the years. I like the updated version and I’m sure there’s plenty in here that they don’t know yet.
It is well printed, hardback and good value. Lots of information, pictures and tips. Great value

This is very similar to a lot of the previous minecraft essential guides of the last few years with a lot of the same material. There is some extra information regarding recent updates. So I would say this is only a must for absolute beginners. I’m assuming die hard fans will already have worked out what all the new stuff does. Still, the book has high quality publishing with clear images and instructions. A good Xmas stocking filler I would say.

As the latest Minecraft book for our collection it does offer some new information and tips and tricks for the survival explorer. I only dabble in Minecraft but my daughters are all MC nuts and talk in the language that only Miners speak. It gives a load of recipes to make various things like furnaces, axes and blocks that do things I don’t understand. My daughters share this book around and have tried various things. It’s a really good way of keeping the interest up and getting them to try new things in the adventuring part of the game instead of just the creative building part.
It’s a good book for medium level minecrafters I’d say. There are some basic things here that my kids already knew but still useful for a reminder.
The quality of the book is good.

My kid has recently got into Minecraft and watches lots of YouTube videos with little hints and tips. This is going to make a fab stocking filler for him. It’s going to look smart on the bookshelf as a little hardback book and the designs and ideas inside are all good for beginners.
