A great selection of Amazing Muslims, from a diverse range of backgrounds and industries. An ideal bedtime read!
Some profiles were questionable – and many Muslims wouldn’t consider them to be ‘Amazing’ but it seems like they were pushed by the Publisher and not the author.

This is really stunning. The artwork and the design is beautiful and the range of figures covered is wonderful. It is a book that will be treasured.

I don’t understand why there are only 10 reviews for this book! This book is incredible!
Short bios written as stories about amazing humans that are also Muslim. The style and format of the book is similar to Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls but it’s much better written and more eloquent. The language used in some of the stories is aimed at older children but that doesn’t mean that younger children can’t enjoy it. I have both a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old. Both of them have been asking me to read stories from the book. I appreciate that the book has chosen a wide variety of people to portray. People in pop culture, sports, and history. This makes the book incredibly relatable. We were able to listen to the music of Cat Stevens when we read his story and have it playing in the background.
I wish books like this existed when I was younger. To be able to not only find someone who looks like yourself in the illustrations, but also recognize that these people went on to accomplish greatness is very comforting. I grew up in Canada with immigrant parents. I was never allowed to celebrate Christmas. I always felt out of place and an outsider. A book like this definitely gives you a sense of belonging.
I highly recommend it for children of all backgrounds. There’s so much negativity around Muslims in the media. People are people no matter their beliefs and greatness exists all around us. Let’s build each other up and share stories.
I gave away two copies of this book for Eid. I am definitely planning on giving away more for future birthday parties the kids are invited to. We can’t stop hate unless we educate our children.

As a teacher, I know just how important this book is for young people. It is beautifully presented and written, and provides a fascinating insight into the lives of thirty amazing historical figures. In her author’s note, Burhana Islam writes “remember that we come from greatness, we are capable of greatness and we are greater than the stereotypes that bind us.” What a wonderfully empowering message, and that sentiment captures just how joyous and liberating this book will be for so many people.

We are absolutely loving this book. It’s wonderfully illustrated and expertly written. As you can see, my kids keep picking it up and are literally devouring the content! It’s the kind of book I wished I had when I was younger. It’s so inspirational to see such successful Muslims in a Puffin book and I hope there will be many more books like this to come.
It has been my own life goal to change the narrative of who Muslims are and this book is a giant leap in the right direction!
Thank you Burhana and Puffin Books! And congratulations on a fantastic book. Definitely know what I’m getting for Eid gifts this year!

Gave it as a present for a friend’s child over Ramadan – they both loved it! It’s great to see such positive, inspirational representation in kids books.

I loved this book so much that I read it in one go. It’s beautifully written and the illustrations are stunning. The author brings to life so many inspiring Muslims and tells their stories enchantingly. I am a teacher and can’t wait to share these stories with my students. They will love it! I learnt so much about how these incredible people shaped our lives, and I know that they will, too. Each of the tales would also make lovely bedtime stories for kids. This book is as important as it is engaging. I thoroughly recommend it!
