Discover Jenny Colgan’s best novel yet…
Olivia and Anthony are planning A Very Extravagant Wedding at the newest hotel on the tiny Scottish island of Mure. They’re flying in chefs, musicians and something called a living flower wall… and no one is even allowed to think the word bridezilla.
Flora is trying – and failing – not to let Olivia and Anthony’s wedding distract her from planning her own big day with Joel. But the couple have wildly different ideas about how to celebrate and somehow, just when their relationship should be plain sailing, everything is suddenly very hard indeed.
And then there’s Lorna and Saif. The local headmistress and the GP desperately keeping their relationship a secret to protect his sons. But while they’re looking out for the boys, who’s looking out for them?
Three couples. One midsummer’s night. Can everyone get their happy ever after?

I enjoyed the story and it held my interest. Wanted everything to turn out as it should. It stayed with me. Was bittersweet in places.

Have read a couple in this series – a nice ‘escape’ while still being believable and entertaining

A pity that the Isle of Mure story has to come to an end but it has been an enjoyable journey!

Somehow I found this book a bit weird, not the best read I have had by far!

The latest and best story in the Isle if Mure series by Jenny Colgan
Three couples, a midsummer wedding and an island community holding to tradition yet adapting to modern Scotland.
Can Flora and Joel whose love story has been woven through the previous books find their happy ever after when differing ideas about their wedding threaten to tear them apart??
Can Lorna and Saif, a Syrian doctor seeking refuge from war truly have a future together. And what’s really going on with Olivia a model determined to return to her islands roots for her wedding, is her jersey life really as perfect as it seems??
I adored this story it was uplifting yet filled with sorrow for a love that could not be. It encompassed tangled families and the choice between love and money with just a sprinkling of ethereal island folklore.
It was exciting, blissful and heart wrenching and I cannot wait for more of this series.
