This wonderful book of Karl Blossfeldt’s photos is just as described. It arrived on time and the service was great.
by Invicta
Karl Blossfeldt was an early 20th century photographer who created his own cameras to take pictures of plant surfaces in magnified detail.
This edition is a republication of the 1929 book: “Art Forms in Nature: Examples from the Plant World Photographed Direct from Nature”.
Due to the era that these images are from we cannot expect high resolution photographs but the reproduction in this book is not as good as the images in his other book: “The Alphabet of Plants” (ISBN: 978-3-8296-0304-1). However, this book has more images and explores with greater variety the relationship between art and nature that the pioneering work of Blossfeldt revealed.
