Gives you some basic starter signs but sometimes the descriptions can be a bit vague. Worth having a look tho.
First half of the book(let) (can’t really describe this as an actual book I’m afraid) is the author telling the reader how wonderful signing can be (using similar phrases repeatedly)

I love this book, it really has made such a difference to my little boy. I bought this after having great success with another book by the same author, THE SMART BABY POTTY TRAINING BOOK. Just learning a few signs for nappy, sleep, milk have really changed the way he interacts. He used to get so frustrated! I am now able to sign for nappy and it gives him a warning that I am going to change him. This is something he used to hate but now because he knows whats coming he seems OK with it! He is at an age where he knows what he wants but can’t tell me, or couldn’t until now. We are working on the signs for eat, more, teddy & play which I think will make for an even happier little boy. I had my reservations about baby signing but am amazed at the progress we have made in such a short space of time. I really feel like it has helped us to bond. He seems so much calmer & I am too as I am able to soothe him quicker without having to go through the usual check list of things that he might want/need. We have a lot less tears in this house, so thanks Olivia Michaels. This book is so easy to follow & would definitely recommend x

I would have thought most people buying a baby signing would already understand the theory & practice behind it & need a complete book to explain how it can greatly improve your child’s development & communication skills. So if that’s all you want to know this book is perfect but as I was looking for a book to help sign with my baby to ease his frustrations it wasn’t for me so returned immediately
