Had this book as a present for my birthday last week. So many wonderful recipes. Baked the Honey, Lemon and Ginger Cheesecake. The family loved it especially my grandson Monty who once he had got past the ‘cheese’ thing said it was the best cake ever. This week I baked the Lemon Drizzle to share with a group of friends . They were very impressed and I recommended the book to all. Next week I’ll be baking Brownies!

Brilliant book – don’t blame me for ensuing weight gain

I was given this book for Christmas and haven’t stopped making the recipes since! Each one is a treat! They make generous portions so are great to share with friends so the cakes and bakes are great to share with friends, family and colleagues! There is a great variety of recipes with different but interesting ingredients. Also, any baker can use this book as recipes are provided for how experienced you are or how adventurous you are feeling! I use this book every Sunday and share the results on the Monday and they are always a hit! I have to tweak the recipe sometimes as I don’t live in England but each bake is a success! Do get this book as it’s an absolute treat in all senses of the word! Yum, yum, yum!

If you are baker of any standard, this is a refreshing, well researched book. The sections on Free-From are full of different ideas for Vegan, DF & GF & Nut Free. I often use only one or two recipes from a book, but not this one, it is packed full of enticing ideas. You really will not be disappointed by the content of this book.

If you’ve ever heard of The Exploding Bakery, you’ll know that their bakes are unsual and always delicious, so I was very excited to get my hands on this.
Unfortunately, we did end up returning it as many of the recipes in there contain such complex and expensive ingredients so it wasn’t very practical for us. But if you’re an adventurous baker who doesn’t mind spending a bit extra on ingredients, you won’t be disappointed!
