These pop up books are amazing. I’ve just bought my third in the series. They are a delight for the eyes and the imagination. I can’t believe what good value they are too! They are also great gifts for friend’s kids if you’re reluctant to buy another piece of colourful plastic destined for landfill. Don’t hesitate to buy one – you will love if you love books and storytelling! Thank you Robert Sabuda!

I bought this because I am interested in Sabuda’s illustration and this book is a stunning example of his talent. Although pop-up books are usually intended for children (and they would no doublt love the bright colours and 3D forms of each page) I feel this book could be an exception. The folding parts are very complex and as a result could be easily broken, so it really is best to handle this book with a lot of care (supervision of children would be best while they open each page) so that this book will last. The text in this book is at the side of each main pop-up in a mini book form, these have smaller pop-ups inside which are a nice addition. The bold colours, amazing pop-ups and clever overall design of this book really make it a treasure. Brilliant buy, well worth the money in my opinion.

Kids absolutely loved this. Gorgeous illustrations, story and amazingly engineered pop up book. We keep going back to it and discovering new things to look at. Not for younger kids as its quite fragile and needs to be folded/ closed with care.

I bought this as a present for my young daughter and she loved it. The intricate details and the way it all moves and connects is incredible. Endless fun can be had opening and closing the book and admiring the complexity of the 3D components. The story is split up evenly into little bits and pieces on each page and some of the text requires the reader to open up little sections. A lot of fun to be had here and it is among the best 3D books I have ever seen. The page with the castle is amazing and how the book depicts the different elements is very good.

I bought the set of these books for my Grandchildren, who are now in their early and mid teens. They still have them; and are still in mint condition. They’re the kind of books that are beautiful to look at and read; and know that you can pass them on to your own children. I bought these for the now youngest Grandchild, who is almost 2; and loves having them read to her; and pointing things to her from the pop ups. She was originally a little afraid of the Monster in the book, until she watched Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

The most incredible book I’ve ever seen. It looks like a family heirloom! So delicately made and absolutely beautiful. Not for younger kids as you’ll be heartbroken when they break a piece off (like I was lol).
