The book is very well structured, from the general knowledge of the program, its different screens to the specification of the different tools that you have to use to create the three / four complete models described.
I had a basic knowledge of the application and this book has helped me to strengthen them and advance with the new ones.
The level that is achieved with it is medium.
From this book you can go deeper into specific aspects of blender.
A book very well written that I recommend

As a beginner just learning Blender I found this book to be a perfect introduction to the programme. While it’s headline subject is Character Creation, which it covers really well, this book also offers an excellent beginners guide to the basic functions of Blender itself, and how the various different aspects of the software come together in the creation of Characters and props.

So I would highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to learn Blender as it offers a comprehensive and fun way to learn the software, in a well designed and well produced volume that looks and feels high quality throughout.

This is a superb book for anyone wanting to take their first steps into Blender 3D for character creation. Firstly, the book is top quality full color throughout & roughly A4 size & 346 pages long. As a beginner, it takes you through the basics of the UI & 3D concepts & then covers modelling, sculpting & rendering – and much more as applied to 3D Character design.
Blender’s online manual is the obvious go to for learning it’s vast capabilities. But this book covers character creation & focuses on those aspects. I always prefer reading from a physical book in the comfort of a nice chair. This book was purchased from amazon with 24% knocked off. A real bargain.
Top marks to 3D Total Publishing & the author Pierrick Picaut.
