I have not yet read through the entire book, but so far so good! I like the step-by-step exercises, which is something I was looking for in a book. It’s important to note that it doesn’t teach you anything about actually drawing, so you have to have strong drawing/painting fundamentals before learning digital painting. Also, I was not so pleased with the order of teaching, since it began with drawing silhouettes, before sketching, which I am not so familiar with. Overall, though, I definitely recommend it to those who would like to learn the techniques and tips of photoshop in a methodical, practical way.

Fantastic book for beginners. I bought for the kindle initially but it was near impossible to read. If you’re buying this book buy the physical copy only.
